FUNAAB Pegs Date To Begin Academic Activities

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) students will begin second semester lectures on Wednesday, Nov. 2, following their return on Thursday, Oct. 27.

Eko Hot Blog reports that after eight weeks of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) industrial action, the university is set to resume classes (ASUU).

This was stated by the university in a statement released on Friday in Abeokuta and signed by the Deputy Registrar, Senate and Admissions, Mr. Omowon Agbotoba, on behalf of the Registrar, Dr. Bola Adekola.

The school also said that the university Senate, at a meeting, approved a revised Second Semester 2020/2021 Academic Calendar, while its 71st inaugural lecture would hold on Nov. 23.

“Special Senate to consider first semester examination result Dec. 2., 72nd inaugural lecture will hold Dec. 21. Second semester lecture ends Jan. 13, 2023.

“Second semester examinations begin Monday, Jan. 23, 2023, while second semester examinations end by Friday, Feb. 3, 2023. Also, the 73rd inaugural lecture holds on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023.

“Special Senate to consider second semester examination results and end of session Friday, March 10, 2023.”
