Appointed in August 2000 following the removal of Mr. Babarinde Da’Silva, the late politician served as Lagos SSG until 2006.

The statement announcing his appointment at the time described him as “a distinguished politician, administrator and management expert”.

In November 2006, Aro-Lambo resigned his appointment to seek the Action Congress (AC) gubernatorial ticket.

The resignation, which took effect from November 1, 2006, was said to have caused ripples at the Alausa seat of government.

Besides being a politician, the former Lagos SSG was a member of several organisations.
