EKOHOTBLOG reports that the Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has ordered the immediate closure of a popular hotel in the state.
The closure of the hotel known as Imperial Hotel was made known by the governor’s
Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties, Doyin Odebowale, on Monday evening.
The popular hotel, EKOHOTBLOG reports, is located at Ilaje Street in Ijapo area of Akure, the Ondo State capital.
According to Governor Akeredolu, the closure of the hotel became necessary because it has become a security risk to the residents of the state capital.

The governor added that state government would not allow any hotel to use its facilitates as den of criminals under any guise.
The closure of the Imperial Hotel came barely a week after a popular night club in Akure known as Bola Komo was shut for similar reason.
