EKO HOT BLOG reports that Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, has declared Monday, August 9, 2021, as a public holiday.
Governor Oyetola, EKO HOT BLOG reports, declared Monday as a public holiday to commemorate the Islamic New Year — Hijrah 1443 AH.
The governor made the declaration via a statement signed by the Osun State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Mr. Tajudeen Lawal, in Osogbo the state capital on Friday.

Governor Oyetola urged both Muslims and people of other religions to use the holiday to pray for the growth and development of the state and Nigeria at large.
