Members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) have scheduled an emergency meeting for Wednesday night at the State House Conference Centre, Aso Rock Abuja, to deliberate on addressing the nation’s security challenge.
NGF’s spokesman, Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo, said the meeting, which will be the first physical meeting by members, has security as the start of the coronavirus pandemic sole item on the agenda.

Meanwhile, some NGF members, including Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi, Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano, Bello Matawalle Zamfara, and Abubakar Sanni of Niger, had visited Shasha Market in Ibadan to assess the destruction at the scene of the clash between Yoruba and Hausa communities.
NGF’s Chairman and Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, is expected to speak on the meeting’s outcome later tonight.
