JUST IN: Gunmen Strike Again, Abduct Many In Kaduna

  • Unknown gunmen have reportedly abducted many residents in Kaduna State.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that gunmen have again attacked Kofar Gayan and Kofar Kona areas of Zaria, Kaduna State, and abducted residents.

The latest attack is coming two days after the students of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic were abducted by gunmen in Kaduna State.

An official of Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KadVS), who spoke on the condition of anonymity on Sunday, disclosed that the incident occurred on Saturday night.

The official, however, did not give details on the exact number of residents abducted by the gunmen.

The KadVS official revealed that the incident occurred around Government Girls Secondary School, Kofar Gayan.

A resident of the area, Abdullahi Mohammed, further stated that no fewer than 12 people were abducted during the latest attack.

Mohammed added that about eight people were kidnapped from one house, while others were picked separately.

Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, when contacted, confirmed the incident.

The police spokesman said he was trying to gather details to update the newsmen.
