EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of over 17,000 candidates who sat for the Mop-Up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) last Friday.
The Mop-Up UTME was conducted in some selected Computer-Based Test Centres (CBT) across the country.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the examination was conducted for candidates who experienced biometric verification challenges and those who genuinely missed the 2021 UTME as a result of a clash with the 2021 National Business and Technical Examinations Board examination.
However, the JAMB Head of Media and Information, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, announced the release of the results in Abuja on Tuesday.
Benjamin further directed candidates who wrote the examination to check the board’s website for their results, saying, “The results of the examination have since been released and affected candidates are required to access their results using their registration number on www.jamb.gov.ng.
“The results were released on Monday. Over 17,000 that turned out for the examination have their results released,” the JAMB spokesman stated.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered that a few candidates who had issues during the examination are having their results screened.
Speaking on the development, a JAMB official said the board would withdraw the results of candidates found to have been involved in malpractices during the examination, even after they have been released.
“We are screening the results of few candidates. We are screening their results to ensure that they were not involved in malpractice,” the official stated.
EKO HOT BLOG recalls that JAMB, on July 30, 2021, contacted about 18,000 candidates who were affected by the rescheduling/technical problems at 30 of the 760 centres used for the conduct of the examination on June 19 for the mop-up UTME.
