EKO HOT BLOG reports that Leeds United have sacked head coach Jesse Marsch, according to Álvaro de Grado of Relevo.
Without a win since November, the American coach was under severe pressure at Elland Road and Sunday’s 1-0 Premier League defeat to Nottingham Forest was the final nail in the proverbial coffin for Marsch, who joined the Yorkshire club in February 2022.
Marsch had a tough act to follow after the sacking of the beloved former Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa, who took the club back to the English top flight after years in the Championship and in League One, and his reign is coming to an end after less than a year in the role.
Leeds are currently hovering above the dreaded relegation zone in the Premier League and sit in 17th place.
Bielsa was recently in talks with Everton about going back into management following several months away from the game. However, the Merseyside club appointed Sean Dyche.
