Embattled acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu as asked the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Muhammed, to grant him bail.
Magu is being investigated by a presidential panel over allegation of corruption and insubordination levelled against him by attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
He has spent the fourth day at the Force Criminal investigation Department (FCID).
Magu has been detained at the FCID since Monday when he first appeared before the panel.
