JUST IN: Many Feared Dead As Jetty Collapses In Rivers

Many people have been feared dead as a jetty collapsed in Rivers State.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that many persons were said to have been feared dead in a mishap at Isaka Jetty in the Okirka Local Government Area of Rivers State.

An eyewitness, on Saturday evening, said no fewer than 10 persons out of 70 persons standing on the jetty drowned.

The witness further disclosed that local divers were making effort to rescue many persons trapped inside the river.

Meanwhile, the authorities had yet to comment on the tragic incident as of the time of filing this report.
