EKOHOTBLOG reports that the chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria in Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Abubakar Abdullahi, has been killed by unknown gunmen.
It was gathered that the Miyetti Allah chairman was shot dead by the assailants in the early hours of Friday.
As gathered by EKOHOTBLOG, the incident was confirmed by the Director of Media and Publicity of MACBAN in Kaduna State, Ibrahim Bayero-Zango, noting that the gunmen attacked the home of the chairman, popularly known as Dambardi, in Lere town at about 1:00am.
According to the MACBAN spokesman, the assailants demanded N20m from the Miyetti Allah chairman before he was whisked away to the Saminaka-Mariri-Zango highway where he was shot dead.

Bayero-Zango said, “Early this morning, one of our members called to inform the leadership of the state branch of MACBAN that at about 1:00am (Friday), unknown gunmen attacked the home of the chairman of MACBAN in Lere LG and killed him.
“When they arrived at the house at about 1:00am, they demanded the sum of N20m from him in order to spare his life but he told them he had no such money.
“Although he was able to raise N250,000 for the assailants, they took him to the back of the town along the Saminaka-Mariri- Zango highway where they shot him dead,” he disclosed.YOU MAY ALSO LIKE
