The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, on Tuesday confirmed that the state has recorded its first confirmed case of Covid-19.
The governor broke the news during the state security meeting held at the Government House, Lafia.
“It is sad to announce that Nasarawa has recorded the first case from a lady that travelled from Kano to Kokona local government area of the state.
“The lady, who is a trader, returned from Kano and developed some signs and was taken into isolation before she was tested positive.
“She is now quarantined at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH), Lafia where we have a good facility for such victims and she will be taken good care of.”
“We have also isolated the family where she came from so that we can conduct a proper test to ensure that her family members are not infected, ” Sule noted.
