EKO HOT BLOG reports that a former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and ex-Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, has thrown his hat in the ring to contest for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential ticket.

Oshiomhole announced his presidential ambition in Abuja in a hall fully packed with supporters.

Before he began his speech, he announced to his audience:

“I Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole declare with confidence to contest for the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

He said he would fix all sectors of the country and ensure a stable academic calendar of federal government universities by ending frequent strike action by ASUU if elected.

His ambition now puts him among the many aspirants jostling for the flag of the party.

As of the last count, the prominent aspirants that have declared in the APC include; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, ex-Lagos Governor Bola Tinubu, Ebonyi Governor, Dave Umahi, Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello, Ekiti Governor Kayode Fayemi, Cross River Governor Ben Ayade, Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, Senators Rochas Okorocha, Orji Uzor Kalu,  Ibikunle Amosun, Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba and  Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio and now Oshiomhole.
