Eko Hot Blog reports that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC) has appointed Iliya Umar Damagum as the party’s acting national chairman.
Damagum was the PDP national deputy chairman (north) until his appointment.
The PDP spokesperson, Debo Ologunagba, made the announcement on Tuesday at a press conference in Abuja.
The appointment comes barely 24 hours after a court order restrained Iyorchia Ayu from parading himself as the party’s national chairman.
