PDP To Hold Fresh Primary Elections In Lagos, Imo, Others

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to hold fresh primaries in Lagos, Imo, Benue, and Katsina.
In a statement issued on Saturday, by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, said that the decision was reached after careful consideration of the electoral and appeal panels’ reports on the congresses held in those states.
He said on Sunday, June 5, 2022, the rerun primaries for Ahiazu State Constituency and Orsu State Constituency in Imo State will be held.
Ologunagba added that on Sunday, June 5, 2022, the elections for Musawa, Zango, and Dandume State Constituencies in Katsina State, Oru East/Orsu/Orlu Federal Constituency in Imo State, and Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency in Benue State will take place.
He added that the primaries for the Lagos State House of Representatives (24 Federal Constituencies) will take place on Monday, June 6, 2022.
The statement partly read, “Furthermore, Kaduna Central Senatorial District of Kaduna State, Enugu West Senatorial Districts of Enugu State, as well as Boki/Ikom Federal Constituency and Yakuur II State Constituency, both of Cross River State earlier scheduled for Saturday, June 4, 2022, have been cancelled.
