EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Speaker of the Plateau State House Assembly, Hon Abok Ayuba Nuhu, has been impeached.
The impeached speaker was replaced with Sanda Yakubu, who hails from Pingana constituency of Bassa Local Government Area of the state.

16 out of the 24 members of the assembly voted in favour of the impeachment at plenary on Thursday.
A group known as the Youths Rights Against Corruption (YRAC) had petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), accusing the speaker of abuse of office and financial misappropriation.
The speaker, however, described the allegations as false and the handiwork of mischief makers.
