The Nigeria Police Force has barricaded the road leading to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat in Lagos due to ongoing protests regarding the local government primaries held last weekend.
Eko Hot Blog reports that early this morning, angry protesters stormed the party secretariat, disputing the results of the primaries. The protesters were eventually dispersed with tear gas.

A visibly tactical team of the Nigeria Police squad can be seen on the road, numbering over fifty of them. In closely monitored videos on social media, it is reported that party members from various councils in Lagos besieged the secretariat.
The ongoing protests since Sunday are a response to the alleged imposition of candidates by some party leaders, which has led to widespread dissatisfaction among aspirants and groups within the APC.
