EKOHOTBLOG reports that the operatives of the Enugu State Police Command have sealed off the office of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
It was gathered that the action was taken to maintain peace and order amid the worsening leadership crisis in Enugu State.
It was learnt that no fewer than 42 members of the State Executive Committee passed a vote of no confidence on the state chairman, Ben Nwoye, on Wednesday after he was accused of insubordination to statutory authorities and wanting to balkanise the party.
The members of the State Executive Committee alleged that Nwoye engaged in gross misconduct and disregarded the APC constitution.
The State Deputy Chairman, Gilbert Chukwunta, further stated that Nwoye violated congress guidelines as spelled out by the Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC).

EKOHOTBLOG reports that Chukwunta spoke to newsmen alongside the Secretary, Robert Eze; Women Leader, Oby Nwofor; Youth Leader, Joshua Mamah; Financial Secretary, Amaka Adonu, among others.
The officials condemned Nwoye’s actions including the unilateral inauguration of ward executives, ignoring those elected by the ward delegates.
They further alleged that the results of ward congresses of the party had yet to be ratified by the CECPC just as the officials warned that Nwoye’s continued stay in office would further polarize the APC in Enugu State.
