EKOHOTBLOG reports that a former Head of the Department of Political Science and International Studies at the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Professor A. D. Yahaya, has been confirmed dead.
It was gathered that Yahaya, a former Director-General of the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), died at a hospital in Abuja on Sunday.
The cause of the death of the political scientist, who has been buried according to Islamic rites, remain unknown as of press time.
EKOHOTBLOG reports that Prof. Yahaya was a Special Adviser on Political Affairs to the late Muhammadu Abubakar Rimi, the then governor of the old Kano State in the Second Republic.
The deceased was described as an extraordinary human being and an outstanding political scientist.
