JUST IN: Pro-Tinubu Support Group, New Associates Attacked by Gunmen in Bayelsa

The NEW Associates, a grassroots political group associated with Nigeria’s Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, has pledged to continue with their pro-Tinubu Mega Rally in Igbogene, Yenagoa, despite a recent attack by gunmen.

Eko Hot  Blog gathered that the rally is being organized to gather support for President Tinubu’s re-election.

During the incident, five gunmen emerged from the nearby forest and opened fire on the rally attendees, causing several injuries as people scrambled for safety.

Police officers and Department of State Security operatives successfully repelled the attackers after a 10-minute gun battle.

Ebilade Ekerefe, the secretary of NEW Associates, declared that the group would not be intimidated and would continue to back President Tinubu for another term in office.
