Residents were thrown into pandemonium on Sunday night as unknown gunmen attacked the “B’ Division Police Station in Awka, Anambra State.

A source disclosed that the gunmen, who stormed the police station on Sunday night, shot sporadically into the air as residents scampered for safety.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the incident caused fear in the entire area.

The ‘B’ Division Police Station is situated directly opposite the Jerome Udoji Secretariat in Awka, a three massive buildings housing civil service in Anambra State.

A source further disclosed that the area was totally cordoned off by the gunmen.
