JUST IN: Residents Killed, Teacher Abducted As Gunmen Strike In Kaduna
Residents have been killed while a teacher was abducted as gunmen struck in Kaduna State.
EKOHOTBLOG reports that unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits have killed two residents and abducted an Arabic and Islamic studies teacher following an attack on the Kuregu community in Zaria Local Government of Kaduna State.
It was gathered that the latest attack in the Kaduna community occurred on Friday night.
The gunmen were said to have stormed the community with sophisticated weapons, gunned down two persons before whisking the teacher to an unknown destination.
The Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Jalige, when contacted on Saturday, was unable to give details of the incident, saying he would inquire and revert.
The police spokesperson had yet to do so as of press time.
EKOHOTBLOG reports that the latest attack by the assailants is coming few days after three suspected kidnappers of the Bethel School Students in Kaduna were arrested and paraded at the force headquarters in Abuja.
