JUST IN: Saka And Mikel Arteta Win Big In Premier League March Awards

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka has been named the Premier League EA Sports Player of the Month for March. The 21-year-old forward has been in incredible form for the Gunners this season, contributing to Arsenal’s charge for the Premier League title.

Saka’s impressive performance started in March with a goal and assist in Arsenal’s 4-0 win against Everton. He ended the month with three goal involvements in Sunday’s win over Crystal Palace, scoring twice to become the first player to reach double figures for goals and assists in the division this season.

Arsenal celebrated Saka’s achievement on their website, stating, “It is our forward’s first divisional success of his career, as he becomes the 22nd different player to win the prize in our colours – the most of any other club in the league’s history.”

Saka’s outstanding performance saw him win the award ahead of teammate Leandro Trossard, who laid on five assists during the month, Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Brighton & Hove Albion’s Alexis Mac Allister, and Tyrone Mings of Aston Villa.

This is the second time this season the award has been won by an Arsenal player, with captain Martin Odegaard receiving the November/December award. Former Arsenal captain Tony Adams recently described Saka as the best player in world football apart from World Cup winner Lionel Messi.
