Eko Hot Blog reports that Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced plan to introduce a 3-day work schedule for Lagos State public servants from next week.
The governor made this known on Thursday during an interactive session with journalists drawn across major television channels in the state.
He said the state is working to reduce the daily stress faced by public servants in the state through introduction of online work that allows workers to work from home.
“From next week, we are working on a calendarized work schedule that allows workers from level 1 to 14 to work three times a week,” Sanwo-Olu stated.
“Those from level 15 upward will also have their schedule. Office work will not stop as workers will work from home on those days they are not in the office.
“The consequences of that is that there will be easy flow of traffic when some large number of people work from home. The transportation system will also be less pressured.”
