JUST-IN: Scores Killed As Nigerian Army Attack Boko Haram Terrorists

  • The terrorists were reportedly killed after troops, on a clearance mission in Missene, Hausari and Chikungudu villages, engaged them in a gun battle.
  • It was also gathered that several high grade weapons and vehicles used by the Boko Haram insurgents were destroyed or recovered.

Troops of the Special Forces Brigade of the Nigerian Army on Tuesday eliminated 33 Boko Haram fighters at Chikingudu, Marte Local Government Area of Borno State.

The terrorists were reportedly killed after troops, on a clearance mission in Missene, Hausari and Chikungudu villages, engaged them in a gun battle.

 

During the face off, two soldiers were reported to have died, while seven soldiers sustained varying degrees.

It was also gathered that several high grade weapons and vehicles used by the Boko Haram insurgents were destroyed or recovered.

They include 25 AK-47 rifles, three anti-aircraft guns, three general-purpose machine guns, two automatic grenade launchers (AGL), two gun trucks, among others.
