EKO HOT BLOG report that the Bauchi State House of Assembly has been surrounded by Security Operatives following an attempt to burn down the building.
It was gathered that some persons stormed the assembly premises on Sunday night to burn down the assembly but were quickly repelled by security operatives.
Speaking on the incident on Monday, the Special Adviser to the Bauchi State Governor on State and National Assembly Liaison, Sani Burra, disclosed that the complex was now secured.
He stated: “Assalamu alaikum! Sir, just to inform you that some unknown persons last night had attempted to burn the Hon. House (Bauchi State House of Assembly) Complex.”
As a result of which security agencies have taken over the place to avoid breakdown of law and order. This is to avoid (prevent) the journalists from giving wrong side of the story please.”
This news platform learned that a combined team of officers from the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Department of State Security, DSS and the Nigerian Army have been stationed at the complex.
