EKO HOT BLOG reports that Segun Oni, the Social Democratic Party’s (SDP) candidate for governor of Ekiti, is still contesting.
The reply comes after Oni claimed in a statement that he had withdrawn from the race due to the party’s national working committee’s illegality (NWC).
However, when a source contacted Gani Salau, the party’s Ekiti spokesperson, he stated that Oni has not withdrawn from the race and that the letter is “a fiction of the opposition’s mind.
“Segun Oni isn’t going anywhere. He can’t possibly withdraw on election day. “It’s an act of defiance,” he explained.
