On Tuesday, Senate President Ahmad Lawan read a letter containing Tinubu’s request on the floor of the upper legislative chamber.
The request did not contain the list of the 20 special advisers.
However, the upper legislative chamber gave speedy approval of the request after Lawan read the letter.
That approval comes days after Tinubu named the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, his chief of staff.
