EKO HOT BLOG reports that the trial of Seun Kuti, the renowned Afrobeat musician, has been rescheduled to Wednesday after an adjournment was granted at the Chief Magistrates Court in Yaba, Lagos State.
The absence of Chief Magistrate Adeola Olatubosun led to the adjournment of the court proceedings.
“The court sitting has been adjourned till tomorrow; the magistrate is not around,” stated an individual familiar with the matter”.
Earlier, Chief Magistrate Adeola Olatubosun had granted the police’s request for an extension of Seun Kuti’s remand by an additional four days.
This news platform had reported that the Afrobeat musician had been charged on May 13 with assaulting a police officer on Lagos’ Third Mainland Bridge.
