Eko Hot Blog reports that Kashim Shettima is the new Vice President of Nigeria.
He replaces former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Shettima took the oath of office administered on him by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kayode Ariwoola, at the Eagle Square, Abuja, on Monday.
“I will abide by the code of conduct in the fifth schedule of the 1999 constitution. That I will not allow my personal conduct influence my official decisions. That I will preserve, protect, and defend the 1999 constitution of Nigeria,” Shettima vowed.
President-elect Bola Tinubu is next to take his oath of office as the 16th president of Nigeria.
