EKO HOT BLOG reports that terrorists, on Tuesday, attacked Gidan Train Station along the Abuja-Kaduna rail track.

The terrorists were said to have planted IEDs on the tracks, forcing the train heading to Abuja from Kaduna to a stop, sources told Nigerian Tribune.

This is the second attack within twenty-four hours along the same axis.

This online media platform recalls that suspected terrorists on Monday evening bombed Abuja-Kaduna rail tracks and attacked a train with about 970 passengers onboard.

It was confirmed, following the evacuation of the bombed train that one of the train drivers, food vendors, a young medical doctor identified as Chinelo, and cleaners were reportedly killed in the Abuja-Kaduna train attack by terrorists.

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has since suspended its Abuja-Kaduna train operations in the wake of the attack.
