The Delta State Governor added that he met with the security heads in Bomadi on Monday but has been unable to meet with the community involved because the place of the incident is completely deserted.
Sixteen Nigerian soldiers, who were on a peacekeeping mission, were ambushed and killed by local youths on Thursday in Okuoma.

Gusau said the Commanding Officer of the reinforcement team, two Majors, one Captain, and 12 soldiers were killed in the process.
He also disclosed that the Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, has ordered a probe into the tragic killing of the four senior officers and 12 soldiers.
