JUST IN: Tribunal Rejects Peter Obi’s Request For Live Telecast Of Proceedings

  • The Presidential Election Petition Court has dismissed the application.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a significant development, the Presidential Election Petition Court held its session on Monday and subsequently rejected the application put forth by the Labour party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, seeking permission for a live telecast of the court proceedings.

Justice Tsammani, delivering the court’s ruling, declared that the application lacked merit and was therefore dismissed.

Drawing attention to international practices, the Justice emphasized that live streaming requires prior planning, budgeting, and adherence to established rules, rather than being implemented spontaneously.
