Due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 in Oyo state, the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, in an official statement said it has restricted mobility into its premises
In a circular released by the Director of Administration, S.O. Oladejo, transmitted to all members of staff, the management directed that only staff who are car owners and have patients in the ward, will be allowed to enter the hospital in order curtail the spread of the coronavirus within UCH community.
The statement dated March 23rd 2020 further emphasized that the limited staff will only be allowed entry upon display of their UCH’s sticker on their private vehicles.
According to the latest statistics from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, 40 cases have been recorded with 28 cases in Lagos, 7 in FCT, two in Ogun and one each in Oyo, Ekiti and Edo.
One death has also been recorded.
