EKO HOT BLOG reports that unknown gunmen, in the early hours of Sunday, killed a policeman and his driver in Warri, Delta State.
It was gathered that the tragic incident which occurred at the airport junction around 11am threw the residents of the area into panic as they scampered for safety.
Sources disclosed that the unknown gunmen, who operated in a yellow Lexus Jeep, blocked and killed the victims inside a red Toyota Avenza with registration number LAGOS BWR 170 AX.
Another source revealed that the deceased policeman was attached to a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and an Ijaw Chief, Micheal Johnny.
The source stated that the victims were accosted and killed while returning from the church where they had taken the wife of the APC chieftain.

“The police escort was shot in the head, brain spilled on the seat. The driver also was shot in the abdomen, his body was lying beside the vehicle.
“I saw the DPO Enerhen there retrieving the bodies,” a source disclosed.
Scores of sympathisers, EKO HOT BLOG gathered, thronged the busy airport junction as the atmosphere became tensed after the attack was carried out by the unknown gunmen.
Confirmed the incident, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, said although the police officer and his driver were killed, nobody was kidnapped as being rumoured.
