The US First Lady Jill Biden has tested positive for COVID-19.

 

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the US First Lady Jill Biden has tested positive for COVID-19 and was experiencing “mild symptoms”, the White House announced on Tuesday.

 

According to her spokesperson, Elizabeth Alexander, the 71-year-old First Lady tested negative earlier on Monday as part of her routine testing routine.

However, a PCR test that was taken after she developed cold-like symptoms came back positive. On Monday, she began experiencing symptoms while on vacation in South Carolina with Vice President Joe Biden. She had been there since the previous weekend.

 

It was gathered that Paxlovid, an antiviral medication, has been prescribed to her, and she plans to quarantine herself at the vacation home for at least five days.

 

According to recommendations provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the press secretary for the White House, Karine Jean-Pierre, stated that Vice President Biden will wear a mask for the next ten days whenever he is inside and when he is in close proximity to other people. This is because he is considered a close contact of the first lady.

 

On Tuesday, he intends to make a return trip to Washington in order to sign a landmark bill concerning climate change and healthcare in the afternoon. After that, he will travel to Wilmington, Delaware, where he resides.

 

Jenn-Pierre has stated that they will increase the frequency of the president’s tests and report the results of those tests. On August 7, the president made a full recovery after contracting the virus for a second time.
