We May Involve InterPol, Declare Naira Marley, Others Wanted Over MohBad’s Death – Police
Eko Hot Blog reports that Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa, says the police may declare persons of interests in the killing of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, better known as MohBad, wanted if they do not honour the invitation for interviews.
The police boss also disclosed that the law enforcement agency may involve the International Criminal Police Organisation, commonly known as Interpol, if persons of interest in the case are abroad.

Owohunwa gave the assurance on Wednesday afternoon during a meeting with #JusticeForMohBad campaigners, including actress Iyabo Ojo, comedian Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, better known as Kiekie, and other celebrities, at the police headquarters in Lagos.
Naira Marley, the owner of MohBad’s former record label Marlian Music, and his head huncho, Sam Larry, are some of the persons of interest in the singer’s death.
Many Nigerians have sought their arrests over allegations that the duo bullied MohBad until his death.
Addressing the #JusticeForMohBad campaigners on Wednesday, the Lagos CP disclosed that the command has begun the process of arresting persons of interest or suspects.
He revealed that the police had sent invitation letters to persons of interest and suspects such as Marley and Larry with a deadline for them to appear.
Owohunwa said failure to honour the invitation will cause the police to declare such persons wanted.
He noted that if such people are outside the country, the police will seek the help of Interpol to arrest them.
The meeting, which was monitored through Instagram Live by an Eko Hot Blog correspondent, also featured the revelation that MohBad’s autopsy will be conducted this week to ascertain the cause of death.
At the meeting, the police chief instructed a police officer to immediately provide police protection for MohBad’s family at home.
Owohunwa urged anyone with evidence to come forward, while assuring the public of adequate witness protection.
He further assured Nigerians that the case will reach a conclusive end and justice will be done.
“The faster they [suspects] run, the harder we will chase them,” the Lagos CP said.
MohBad died last Tuesday under mysterious circumstances, spurring public outrage.
