The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Caretaker Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni, have sworn in Mr Matthew Mbu as the new acting Chairman in Cross River State.
The inauguration was held on Tuesday at the APC national secretariat in Abuja.
Mr Buni was accompanied by Secretary of the Committee, Mr James Akpanudoedehe, and Minister of State for Power, Mr Goddy Agba.

The Yobe Governor told Mr Mbu to conduct his official affairs with fairness.
Mr Buni advised him to carry along all supporters, members and stakeholders.
He said the immediate task was a unification of all members to strengthen the party ahead of the legislative by-elections.
The party recently brokered a truce between factional leaders in Cross River.
