Kaduna Community Gets Free Medical Service, Lauds Gov El’rufai For The Facility

The Chairman, Jema’a local Government Area Council Mr Peter Danjuma Averik has reiterated the Council’s commitment toward providing quality and affordable health Care services to the people in the area for Growth and development.

Mr. Peter Averik Stated this on Thursday during a one-day free medical service and official Flagg-off of healthcare activities at Ungwan Yuli Clinic in Asso district, Jema’a LG, Kaduna State- Nigeria.

Represented by the Vice-Chairman, Mr. Micah Ngboni Diggah, The Chairman explained that the gesture was meant to symbolize the official commencement of health care activities at the community’s health care Centre built by the state government under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) projects 2019.

He said, in addition to peace and security, his administration had expended a lot on the provision of primary health care services across communities in the local government.

The Chairman advised the people to make good use of the facility and cautioned them against open defecation and other unsanitary practices.

Mr. Averik reminded them of the existing resolution of the local government Legislative Council which placed a fine of #20,000.00 for households without toilet facility.

He Commended Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai for providing the health clinic and assured him of the people’s continued support and prayers to succeed in his mandate.

The Director, Primary Health Care of the local government, Mrs. Rahab David who advised Ugwan Yuli and other surrounding communities to patronize the health care facility, said the clinic was well equipped with both modern facilities and qualified personnel.

She used the occasion to encourage staff serving under the facility to be diligent and committed in the discharge of their assignments adding that the local government would not tolerate negligence and unprofessional conduct.

In his remarks, the District Head of Asso, Mr Barnabas Samaila commended Mr. Averik for his exemplified administrative commitment in the areas of peacebuilding, health care and community development.

Earlier, two Community leaders, Elder Yohanna Tijani and Andrew Manda thanked the council Chairman for siting the clinic in their community and assured him of the community’s unflinching support and goodwill to enable him succeed.

They decried shortage of teachers in the community primary school and requested him to deploy more teachers as well as provide them with secondary school to enhance education in the area.
