Kaduna Health Commissioner Contracts Coronavirus
Amina Mohammed-Baloni, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Health, has tested positive to Coronavirus after a series of tests.
In a string of tweets on Saturday., Mohammed-Baloni said she had gone into isolation, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
She said, “As a result of a notice that my COVID-19 test is positive..I placed myself in solitary confinement for the necessary treatment.
I can’t wait to recover quickly and completely from the infection.
“I urge everyone to be mindful of simple public health measures and COVID-19 prevention protocols, such as using facial masks in public; and clean hands frequently with soap and running water or use of sanitisers; and avoid big gatherings or crowded venues.”

She had recently raised concerns about the growing number of cases in the state amid a second wave of the pandemic.
Kaduna had another 35 cases on Friday, pulling the number of cases in the state at 5,752, said the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control.
Based on this figure, Kaduna is ranked third in the number of cases, This is reflected in NCDC statistics.
Upon filing this report, the total case count in the country was 95,934.
