Kankara: Military Dismisses Miyetti Allah’s Role In Students’ Rescue
The Nigerian Defence Headquarters, DHQ, has dismissed claims that Fulani socio-cultural organisation, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, MACBAN, had any role to play in the release of the abducted Government Science Secondary School in Kankara, Katsina State.
In a statement issued via its spokesperson, Major Gen. John Enenche, the military said it rescued the students and not MACBAN members as claimed.
Enenche’s remark goes at variance with the claim by Bello Matawalle, Governor of Zamfara, who said MACBAN negotiated the release of the students.

“The Military High Command commends troops of Operation Hadarin Daji including all security agencies for their dexterity,” Enenche said.
