Kankara: We Were Told To Say Boko Haram Abducted Us – Student
A new development concerning the abduction of over 300 students from the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina has come to light.
One of the kidnapped Schoolboys has come out to say they were compelled to say members of Boko Haram were responsible for their abduction.
The schoolboy, whose name is not revealed, made the startling revelation in a viral video.
When probed about the identity of their abductors, if they were bandits or Boko Haram, the students said, “I do not know who they are but I was told to say they’re Boko Haram from the gang of Abu Shekau.”
On his experience while in captivity, he added, “From what I experienced sincerely they are not Boko Haram.”
The development might lend credence to ubiquitous conjectures and conspiracy theories that the government stage-managed the abduction.
Eko Hot Blog had reported how hundreds of student of the school were abducted over a week ago.
However, 344 students were released to the government of Katsina State on Friday after spending exactly a week in captivity.

Recall that governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State had disclosed that Miyetti Allah and repentant Boko Haram brokered the release of the students.
Matawalle insisted that there was “nothing like Boko Haram in the abduction, claiming the bandits did it.”
His Kastina counterpart, Bello Masari, corroborated his assertion, saying bandits not Boko Haram abducted the students.
