EKO HOT BLOG reports that each in a conversation with journalists, Ata highlighted the political dimension of his appointment, emphasizing that his primary responsibility was to restore APC’s dominance in Kano. “My appointment was primarily for political reasons.
The APC has lost Kano State, but now we will reclaim it. The main challenge lies in Kano Central, and that is my home base,” he stated.
Acknowledging the importance of grassroots support, Ata assured that his commitment to political engagement would not waver despite his ministerial duties. “Even as a minister, I will continue to be active in my ward. We will put in the hard work necessary to ensure that the APC regains control of Kano State by 2027,” he affirmed.
While Ata is set to carry out his responsibilities at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, he reiterated his focus on the political situation in Kano. “I will diligently perform my ministerial duties, but I intend to visit Kano State weekly to support efforts aimed at securing the state for the APC,” he added.
Expressing his gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment, Ata described the opportunity as significant for both him and the people of Kano. He concluded with a firm pledge, stating, “I assure the President that Kano will be won back by the APC in 2027.”
