The chairman of Katsina Board of Internal Revenue , Aminu Abdulmumini, at the weekend said action would soon be taken against tax defaulters , as the board was compiling their names with a view to notifying them on the need to come clean with their tax payments.
He noted that several wealthy persons were shortchanging government, with some dressing deceitfully like paupers whenever they go to pay their taxes.
Albdulmumini said the state was losing N100 million yearly to tax defaulters.
He affirmed after defaulters are notified , a follow up would be made and a legal action initiated in the case of recalcitrance.
