Kano: Chemist Remanded For Allegedly Rapping Minor To Death

A Kano Magistrate Court in the No-man’s-land area of Sabon Garri has ordered the remand of a chemist in a correctional centre for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the State Counsel, Barrister Zainab Aliko, the chemist, Manniru Ibrahim Fanisau, is accused of raping Rumaisa Sadiq, who was brought to him for malaria treatment. Tragically, the girl later died as a result of the incident.

The defendant has pleaded not guilty to the charges of rape and homicide, which violate sections 283 and 221 of the Penal Code Law.
