Ramadan Aid: Kano Distributes Palliatives To Hospital Patients
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a gesture of compassion during the holy month of Ramadan, the Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, on Monday distributed palliatives to patients admitted to government hospitals across the state.

According to the state commissioner for information, Halilu Dantiye, the distribution included 2,213 (10kg) bags of rice and 2,213 (10kg) sacks of maize, which were provided to patients at general and cottage hospitals, pediatric and Specialist Hospitals throughout Kano State.
Dantiye, who supervised the distribution of the food items to each patient admitted at the Infectious Disease Hospital and Abubakar Imam Urology Centre on behalf of the governor, stated, “The initiative was aimed at providing essential support to those in need during these difficult times.”
Emphasizing the importance of ensuring the welfare of all citizens, the commissioner said, “Yusuf’s administration prioritised the initiative that directly impacts the lives of people in the state, particularly those with health challenges.”
Dantiye expressed delight over the happiness of the patients who benefited from the governor’s gesture and re-emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable populations, especially during illness. “We are dedicated to providing assistance wherever it is needed most. Our efforts today represent a collective commitment to standing behind our fellow citizens in support during their times of need. By providing essential food items to hospital patients, we aim to alleviate some of the burdens they face and offer them a measure of comfort,” he said.
