Hussaini, who spoke at the presentation of the boats, said the state government employed the use of the speed boats to enable health workers to access riverine communities.
He said that this would ensure that such communities were not left out during immunisation and other exercises aimed at the prevention and control of diseases in the state.
“Considering the rainy season resulting to rising water volume in dams and bodies, government provided boats to ease difficulties experienced by health workers in riverine communities.
“The people in Dawakin Kudu and Bagwai Local Government Areas will be the first to benefit from the gesture while efforts are being made to extend it to other areas of the state,” he said.
He tasked the workers to ensure effective utilisation of the boats to enhance healthcare service delivery in the state.
