Kano Pillars were cited for not maintaining team discipline, which led to unruly behaviour by Ugochukwu Gabriel during the match.
The NPFL has further suspended Gabriel for nine matches, beginning from the matchday 10 fixture, as a consequence of his conduct.
Kano Pillars received a formal warning regarding the publication of inflammatory statements in the future, advising the club to use official channels for complaints.
