The Kano State Police Command has successfully dismantled a syndicate of thieves led by a 19-year-old female suspect, Shamsiyya Adamu.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the operation resulted in the arrest of five suspects involved in stealing mobile phones and defrauding victims of money from their bank accounts.
Shamsiyya, a resident of Brigade Quarters, Kano, was apprehended on December 21, 2024, following numerous complaints of stolen mobile phones in Unguwa Uku Quarters, Kano.
Throughout 2024, the police received multiple reports regarding a young lady who frequently stole mobile phones from residential houses.

The police have so far recovered six mobile phones and are intensifying their efforts to recover more stolen items.
A total of 30 complainants, consisting of 29 females and one male, have lodged reports against Shamsiyya, who has confessed to stealing their mobile phones on various occasions last year.
