Kanu Calls For Pantami’s Sack, Says There’s Nothing Like Repentant Terrorist

The leader of the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has warned that there are no repentant terrorists.

Kanu, who was referring to the alleged ties of the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami, with terrorism, alleged that that terrorism is a form of Islamic ideology.

The IPOB boss made the comment via his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.

Kanu further alleged that terrorism remains a religious duty for every Muslim that believes in the holy war, Jihad.

The IPOB leader tweeted, “In case you forgot, terrorism is a form of #Islamic ideology, as well as a religious duty for every Muslim that believes in Jihad. Therefore, there can never be anything like a repentant terrorist, not even some minister named Isa Pantami (@DrIsaPantami). Please be guided. I am.”

Pantami has been under fire since the visual and audio clips of some of his teachings resurfaced over a decade later, some of which showed he was sympathetic to Islamic extremist sects like Al-Qaeda and Taliban.

Many Nigerians have called for the sacking or resignation of the minister after some of his comments which supported Islamic extremism came to light.

Pantami, an Islamic scholar and cleric, once said, “We are all happy whenever unbelievers are killed.”

The minister also hailed Osama Bin Laden, who orchestrated the terrorist attacks on United States soil on September 11, 2001, saying the terrorist “is a better Muslim than myself.”
